DAO is a Danish parcel distributor popular with e-commerce shops. You need a DAO agreement with API access to connect it.

Connecting DAO

  1. 1Log in to dao.as and go to your account settings
  2. 2Find your Customer ID (kundeid) and API password (kode) under API access
  3. 3If you do not have API access yet, contact DAO support to enable it
  4. 4In ShipCelero, go to Settings → Integrations, open the DAO card, paste the credentials, and save

DAO services

  • daoSHOP — delivery to a DAO parcel shop; the recipient collects the package nearby
  • daoHOME — home delivery to the recipient's address
  • daoRETURN — return labels back to your address
  • daoGLOBAL — international delivery outside Denmark

You can set a default service in the DAO preferences so new shipments start with your most common choice.

Test mode

With test mode enabled, bookings are sent as tests and no real barcodes are created. Switch it off in the DAO preferences before shipping for real.

Which DAO services are available depends on your DAO agreement. Contact DAO if a service you need does not appear.
