Each ShipCelero plan includes a number of labels per billing period. Understanding how usage is counted helps you plan your shipping volume and avoid surprises.
What counts towards usage
- Each outbound label = 1 label
- Each return label = 1 label
- Split orders: each package label = 1 label (a 3-package order uses 3 labels)
- Labels booked via Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, or MCP count exactly like manual ones
- Failed booking attempts do not count — only successfully created labels do
When the allowance resets
The allowance resets at the start of each billing period. The exact reset date is shown under the usage bar on the Billing page. Unused labels do not roll over.
Reaching your limit
When a booking would exceed your included labels, ShipCelero shows a Monthly limit reached prompt with your current usage and the exact price of the extra label. You can:
- Create label anyway — the label is booked as an extra label and billed at the end of the period
- Cancel — nothing is booked
- Upgrade your plan — move to a higher plan from the Billing page and continue
How extra labels are billed
Extra labels are aggregated and invoiced once at the end of each billing period — no per-label charges during your workflow. The Billing page shows the running count and the upcoming invoice amount, and past extra-label invoices are listed there too.
