Many PostNord services support additional options that change how the delivery is handled. These are called zone options and are configured per service per destination zone.

Types of zone options

  • Mandatory — automatically applied; you cannot remove them. Shown as locked items in the shipment form.
  • Optional — available to enable as a checkbox. You choose whether to include them.

Common zone options

  • FlexDelivery — recipient can choose to leave the parcel in a safe place if nobody is home
  • SMS notification — the carrier sends an SMS to the recipient with tracking and delivery updates
  • Email notification — similar to SMS but via email
  • Return included — a return label is pre-generated and included in the outbound shipment for the recipient to use
  • Delivery confirmation — the carrier confirms delivery with a signature or photo

Where to find them

Zone options appear below the service selector in the shipment creation form and in the Shopify order action extension. Mandatory options appear as greyed-out locked items; optional ones appear as checkboxes.

Zone options are configured by the platform administrator based on your PostNord product agreement. If you need an option that is not shown, contact ShipCelero support.
